Remo Stars Football Club has announced the appointment of Olumide Ajibolade as its new Head Coach, marking the beginning of a new era under one of the most accomplished coaches to emerge from the club’s renowned football development system.

Having played a pivotal role in nurturing young talents and building winning teams, he now steps into the club’s top coaching position with an impressive résumé and a clear understanding of the club’s philosophy.
From Academy Coach to Club Leader
Ajibolade joined the Remo Stars Academy in 2019 as the U-17 Head Coach, where he immediately established himself as one of the brightest young coaches in Nigerian football. When Beyond Limits Football Academy was launched in 2021, he was entrusted with leading the ambitious project—a decision that would prove to be transformational.
Over the years, Beyond Limits evolved into one of Nigeria’s most successful football academies under his guidance. His side dominated the TCC League, winning five league titles in six seasons (2020/21, 2021/22, 2022/23, 2023/24, and 2025/26), while also lifting consecutive TCC Cup trophies in 2023/24 and 2024/25, the TCC Super Cup in 2025, and the Ogun State FA Cup in both 2024 and 2026.
Making History on the National Stage
Ajibolade’s achievements were not confined to youth competitions. He guided Beyond Limits from the Nationwide League One (NLO) to the Nigeria National League (NNL) during the 2022/23 season before overseeing another historic promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) just a year later.
The 2023/24 campaign will remain one of the most memorable in the academy’s history, as Beyond Limits were crowned Nigeria National League champions in Enugu, further cementing their reputation as one of the country’s premier football development institutions.
Flying Nigeria’s Flag Abroad
Beyond Limits also enjoyed remarkable success on the international stage under Ajibolade’s leadership.
His team captured global attention by winning the prestigious Viareggio Cup in Italy in 2024 before going on to secure back-to-back Gothia Cup titles in Sweden in 2025 and 2026. Those triumphs showcased not only the quality of the academy but also the effectiveness of the club’s player development model.
