Newly promoted Nigeria Premier Football League side Ranchers Bees are set to appoint experienced tactician Usman Abd’Allah as their new head coach, with an official announcement expected in the coming days.
Sources close to the Kaduna-based club have informed ACLSports that the former Enyimba boss has reached an agreement with the Bees on a two-year contract, with all parties now aligned on the deal.
“E don set,” MikeThePundit revealed, confirming that the agreement has been finalized and only awaits formal ratification and unveiling.
Ranchers Bees secured promotion to the NPFL after finishing top of the Nigeria National League Conference D, marking their return to the top flight after a lengthy absence. The club’s resurgence has been backed by ambitious ownership and a desire to establish itself among the country’s elite once again.
The appointment of Abd’Allah represents a major statement of intent from the Kaduna club. Widely regarded as one of the most experienced coaches in Nigerian football, the 51-year-old boasts an impressive résumé that includes a league title with Enyimba in the 2018/19 season and spells with Kano Pillars, Katsina United, and Benin Republic side USCN Cavaliers. He also served as an assistant coach of the Super Eagles under José Peseiro.
Abd’Allah most recently took charge of Remo Stars in a short-term rescue mission aimed at preserving the club’s NPFL status. His vast experience and tactical pedigree are expected to play a key role as Ranchers Bees prepare for life back in the top division.
The move underlines the ambitions of the Bees, who are keen not only to survive in the NPFL but to establish themselves as a competitive force. With a two-year deal agreed, attention now turns to the club’s official announcement, which is understood to be imminent.
Should the appointment be confirmed, Abd’Allah will be tasked with leading one of Nigeria’s most historic clubs into a new era following their long-awaited return to the elite division.
