Shooting Stars have stepped up their pursuit of Remo Stars midfielder Haruna Hadi, with sources informing ACLSports that the Ibadan club have submitted a fresh and improved offer for the highly-rated midfielder.
The new proposal is understood to be significantly better than the bid previously lodged by Sporting Lagos. However, it still falls short of Remo Stars’ valuation of the player, meaning a deal is yet to be struck.
Despite the gap in valuation, there is optimism from all parties that a compromise can be reached.
Sources close to the negotiations reveal that club-to-club discussions are expected to intensify in the coming days as both sides seek common ground over the transfer fee and structure of the deal.
Shooting Stars remain confident that they can get the deal over the line and are pushing to add the midfielder to Nurudeen Aweroro’s squad ahead of their return to continental football.
Haruna Hadi has emerged as one of the most sought-after players in the NPFL following his impressive performances for Remo Stars, attracting interest from several clubs. Sporting Lagos had previously made an approach, but Shooting Stars have now returned with a more attractive package in an attempt to steal a march on their rivals.
With direct talks between the two clubs set to begin, there is growing belief within the Oluyole Warriors camp that an agreement can eventually be reached.
More to follow.
